1800   Ben Burge: Cut The Cause  (Matthew 18:6-9)  (Venue: All Saints Church Hall)

Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord!
Unnumbered blessings, give my spirit voice;
Tender to me the promise of His Word;
In God my Saviour shall my heart rejoice.

Tell out, my soul, the greatness of His Name!
Make known His might, the deeds His arm has done;
His mercy sure, from age to age the same;
His holy Name - the Lord, the Mighty One.

Tell out, my soul, the greatness of His might!
Powers and dominions lay their glory by;
Proud hearts and stubborn wills are put to flight,
The hungry fed, the humble lifted high.

Tell out, my soul, the glories of His Word!
Firm is His promise, and His mercy sure:
Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord
To children's children and for evermore!

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever.
Amen.

Lord, I come to You,
Let my heart be changed, renewed,
Flowing from the grace
That I found in You.
And Lord, I've come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love.

Hold me close, let Your love surround me.
Bring me near, draw me to Your side.
And as I wait, I'll rise up like the eagle,
And I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.

Lord, unveil my eyes,
Let me see You face to face,
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me.
Lord, renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my life,
In living every day
By the power of Your love.

Hold me close, let Your love surround me.
Bring me near, draw me to Your side.
And as I wait, I'll rise up like the eagle,
And I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.

Causing to stumble

6 'If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung round their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

I will offer up my life
In spirit and truth,
Pouring out the oil of love
As my worship to You.
In surrender I must give
My every part;
Lord, receive the sacrifice
Of a broken heart.

Jesus, what can I give,
What can I bring
To so faithful a friend,
To so loving a King?
Saviour, what can be said,
What can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done?
Oh, my words could not tell,
Not even in part,
Of the debt of love that is owed
By this thankful heart.

You deserve my every breath
For You've paid the great cost;
Giving up Your life to death,
Even death on a cross.
You took all my shame away,
There defeated my sin,
Opened up the gates of heaven,
And have beckoned me in.

Jesus, what can I give,
What can I bring
To so faithful a friend,
To so loving a King?
Saviour, what can be said,
What can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done?
Oh, my words could not tell,
Not even in part,
Of the debt of love that is owed
By this thankful heart.

Purify my heart,
Let me be as gold and precious silver;
Purify my heart,
Let me be as gold, pure gold.

Refiner's fire,
My heart's one desire
Is to be holy, set apart for You Lord;
I choose to be holy,
Set apart for You, my Master,
Ready to do Your will.

Purify my heart,
Cleanse me from within and make me holy;
Purify my heart,
Cleanse me from my sin, deep within.

Refiner's fire,
My heart's one desire
Is to be holy, set apart for You Lord;
I choose to be holy,
Set apart for You, my Master,
Ready to do Your will.
